Men's Ultimate Hiker Boots

Full grain leather shapes a rugged, handsome hiking-style boot that looks as good in the city as it does on the trails. Breathable leather and padded collar and tongue keep you comfortable while the sturdy rubber outsole gives a strong grip while you walk. Imported.

Very comfy boots.

Very comfortable right out of the box. Sharp looking. Liked the fit so much I bought both colours. Only downside might be the sole in very cold weather. Looks like vibram but I don't think it is so may not provide as good traction. But I'd highly recommend as a comfy, stylish boot for everyday wear.

Good for clearance price

These boots are pretty basic hikers. I needed an insert because of high arches (but I need that in most shoes). I work outside, and didn't want to ruin my good Asolo hikers in the salty snow, so I decided to gamble on these for clearance price. So far I'm quite pleased (for the price)
Pros: cheap (on clearance), comfortable, decent looking, quick break-in, have stayed dry so far.
Cons: The "stitched" sole appears to be faux, the laces are junk, and the lace hooks on the ankle bend in and out more easily than expected. Leather is not single-piece construction so I expect leaks in the future.
I can't emphasize enough - these are decent boots for forty bucks, but if you see them for much more than that, I'd avoid them.

Thin tongue and boot top is too short

DateJanuary 16, 2014

Bought these for my husband. He says the lower part of the tongue that is darker than the rest of the boot is very thin and if he laces up the boots for a snug fit he can feel the laces cutting across the top of his foot. Also the upper part of the boot is just a little too short and the padding around the top of it digs into his ankle rather than hitting above the ankle. On the pair that we received, one of the laces was almost already sheared through and was down to a single thread.

Sturdy winter boot

Sizing was honest, Will accommodate a high arch.
I have a narrow foot and they fit well, but they'll lace up for a D just fine.
Got them today and went for a walk in the snow and ice.
They're lightly insulated (or padded) , my feet stayed warm outside, but not hot inside.
A vibram type lug sole, with a half shank (I think) -
rather firm flex to the sole, but reasonable for a heavy boot,
and not uncomfortable.
The foot bed is the removable molded type, and comfortable.
Firm, but should quickly adapt to your foot.
The tungue is gusseted to the point
where the leather changes color - no snow got inside.
There are actually two speed lacers - so easy to get on.
