Woven Stripe Coverlet

This woven stripe bed topper adds charm and character while the open weave of the fabric makes an ideal cover for warmer weather. Pure cotton that’s woven using a decades-old technique that will leave some natural slub imperfections in the fabric (did we mention it adds character?) to make each one of a kind. 100% cotton. Machine wash. Imported.

Unique and beachy

I received our queen coverlet yesterday and thought I would write a review since it was very different than what I expected. I thought this would be a like a second sheet with woven stripes. In fact, the fabric is much heavier. I would compare it to a canvas drop-cloth. It is not soft. But it adds good weight to the bed and helped protect me from the AC overnight. It adds a very casual element to the bedroom and expect it to last a long time. This is a very unique bed covering that I have not seen elsewhere.

Beautiful and Well Made

For some time I have been on a search for a bed cover that is not a puffy quilt, matelasse, or duvet and this is the coverlet of my dreams. The pictures do not show how nicely finished the edges are; there is a 3-inch flat binding that gives it a very trim finish and a heft to the drop. I bought the full/queen for my queen bed and it fits perfectly to just the right length over a bed skirt. While not heavy, the coverlet is certainly not flimsy and its makes a very trim and finished bed. The intrinsic elegance of the cotton weaving is artisan-level and not surprisingly, comes from India, land of master weavers and cotton fabric geniuses. The coverlet washes and tumbles dry like a dream and I look forward to it growing softer and more beautiful for years to come. My only complaint to Lands End would be: more color ways! Blue and white suits my bedroom to a tee but I would still love to see this coverlet in some additional colors so I could use it in a guest bedroom.
