Never Thought I Would Love a Swimsuit in My Size!

I have never liked anything enough to review it. I am a tall, big girl. I have always avoided the pool but now that my kids are swimming it's off to the pool we go. I was sporting a suit with a skirt. It was awkward when I swam. This suit is perfect! Just enough ruffle to hide that spot right where the leg elastic squeezes my chubby thigh. I do wish the straps were more substantial, but after adjusting them, the top stays in place while I swim. Hubby gave me the ultimate praise and said he liked it. Him expressing an opinion is major. I was hesitant to order it after reading some folks problems with the leg holes but I went for it hoping that it would work for me. Glad I did. Take the chance! Lands' End has a great return policy if it doesn't work for you!

4 problems with this suit for this fat girl

I'm a young 46 year-old, 5'9" and about 100 lbs overweight. I need to say that so you understand where I'm coming from when reviewing this suit. This suit is probably amazing-looking on someone not as overweight as I am. The ruffles are adorable and makes it youthful and feminine, BUT the skirt was WAY too short on me. In addition, the way the suit gathers in the middle only accentuated my gut . . . so much so that I looked pregnant in it. Also, I'm at least a DD and the straps were WAY too thin and not sturdy enough for my liking. And I have to agree with another reviewer who said the leg holes were tight. I, too, thought they were tight and couldn't imagine "relaxing" in a loungechair poolside in this suit. Sorry, it's really cute on the model, but didn't work out for this fatty. I still gave it rather high ratings though because I'm sure it's perfect for smaller girls.

This suit is absolutely adorable!! I want it in more colors!!! Bought it in Black; didn't have my size in the magenta-ish color or it would have been mine for sure!! Please Lands End - make in a royal blue!

This suit fits and feels great. Holds you in without feeling like your wrapped in an ace bandage. I like the length of the skirt. I'm 5'4'' and find that a lot of the other swim skirts feel matronly because they seem too long. The radiant mauve color is very pretty. I would agree with the other reviewer that the bust runs big because I usually have trouble with the cup sizes being too small and on this suit they are perfect (I'm a DD). So if you're itty bitty this may not be the suit for you.

Very flattering on a plus-sized figure, but leg holes low and small

This suit is almost perfect....almost....I ordered one size up since it's a Slender-suit and I didn't want to break a sweat putting it on in the summer. The fit was good, a little looser than other Slender-suits I own (probably because of the size up) but the leg holes were VERY tight and very uncomfortable. I couldn't stand it in my house trying the suit on, let alone imagine how uncomfortable it would be in the heat. It's going bad I'm sad to say. If they leg hold we cut a little higher or looser, I would have ordered a second suit. The ruffle is adorable and very flattering, covering the very top of the thigh. It's a one piece suit I would have been able to wear without a swim mini. If you have thinner legs, definitely order it -- but I would say order your true size.

Slendersuit ruffle sheath flattering but bra cups too big for me

I just received the slendersuit ruffle sheath in the bright violet. Wow what a color. Amazingly flattering, The shirring is great, and very slenderizing, even in a size 18W. The little ruffle is very very flattering to my chubby legs. I'm 5'6" and . . . fairly overweight. That said, I'm a 60+ something person with a small bust. I need the size for my waist (what waist) and hips and rib cage. But my bust is completely lost inside these large cups. I feel like sticking socks in . . . as I tried in 8th grade. Doesn't look good. I WISH there would be two versions of suits -- for those with a bust and those without much. I'm barely a B cup. The cups would easily fit a D person. So. I may keep it anyway, but just wanted to get this off my chest. I can't be the only woman for whom bathing suit tops with sewn in cups are always always always too big. I LOVE underwires without sewn in cups -- then they fit themselves to me rather than the other way around. Please consider this, L.E.
