Excellent gloves for the money!

I bought these gloves when they were on sale last year to see them for myself, and to try them out. They are well made, and nice for the price of under 40 bucks (on sale) that I just ordered another pair this week while they still have them!
I don't have huge hands, so I always have to order a size medium in gloves. When I saw these for sale, I figured, what the heck, I will give them a try. I was not quite sure how a size S/M would be, and I figured like the other reviewers said, they might be snug at first, but hopefully they would fit me in time.
Well I can tell anyone out there that wears size medium gloves that these fit a size medium hand PERFECTLY. They were not snug on my hands, not even out of the box. They were a comfortable fit. I think the size S/M might be a bit too big and roomy for someone with small hands who wears size small gloves though.
I was afraid the fingers would be too long being dual size (S/M) gloves, but they are not. However, if you have really long fingers, then they might be too short, and would not fit right.
The adjusting strap on the back is great, and makes the gloves fit as tight or as loose around your wrist as you want them too. The strap is held in place by an actual clasp, which snaps shut, which you hardly ever see on gloves these days. It’s a nice touch, that can NOT come loose until you open the clasp. So where you set it is where the strap will stay!
The waxed cotton material is nice, and does repel water and snow, and the leather is actually quite soft right out of the box, which was nice.
For the sale price, these gloves are hard to beat. If I had to give a down side to these gloves, it would only be the color of the waxed cotton portion of the gloves. If you like your gloves to match the jacket you are wearing, then these go great with jackets that are tan, khaki, brown, green and so forth. If the cotton portion of the gloves was say, brown, like the leather portion, then they would also go with jackets that are blue, gray, red, and so forth. This is not a deal breaker, but it would be nice if they were offered in green and brown.
These are five sailboat gloves, and don’t hesitate to get some! You will not be sorry!

Nice gloves for commuting...

I got these gloves to match a jacket I have, and to be my 'to and from work' gloves. Fit is a bit snug, but as others have said, should conform to my big paws with some use. Very well made, and do the 'match the jacket' thing, as expected...
They are a bit too nice to use sno-blowing, or splitting wood, but for day to day use, in and out of the office/car, they are perfect.

As stated in the description, these gloves do seem just a bit snug at first, but they quickly conform to the shape of your hand. Most seams are sewn on the inside giving the gloves a much more finished look. They are not heavily insulated, but there is a thin layer of insulation that does quite well. The deerskin leather is rich and supple, while the waxed cotton on the back side seems to be heavy duty. I wouldn't call these "dress gloves", but I can safely say they are very good "everything else gloves". You will be hard pressed to find gloves as good as these at the sale price. Highly recommended.
