I bought this blanket because it had everything I was looking for and found it at the best price I could find for any all wool made in USA blanket. I would describe it as medium-weight not heavy but not super light. I also liked the fact that it is washable. I accidentally had someone dry the heck out of it so can't speak re softness too well, but it not bad.

The perfect blanket!

Living in Florida, I had not considered buying a wool blanket before. I also did not want anything that needed to be dry cleaned. However, when I found myself putting 2-3 blankets on the bed, I decided to try the Pendleton washable wool blanket. What a delight! The blanket is warm without weight. It cradles you, like down, without the excessive heat of down. I have felt comfortable with temperatures from 40-65 degrees. I have not yet washed the blanket but am sure it will do well. I have pets and the blanket seems like it will be sturdy and hold up over time. Thanks for offering it at such a good sale price. I hope to enjoy it for many years to come.

I just received my blanket and I am very impressed with the quality. Just holding it in my arms, I can feel the warmth without the "scratchy" feel. I am looking forward to the first cold night to really enjoy this blanket. Bonus is the 96 inch length that works well for my thick mattress.

What a deal!

I never thought I'd pay that much for a blanket but oh is it worth it. Wool is the best and breathes and hold heat when it needs to. At first I worried that the fabric was a bit light, the free swatches weren't thick. After using I'm extremely happy with the weight. By being a bit thinner you can use it year round, in the winter I'll probably need to add an extra fleece below.
Every time I get into bed I'm happy to see it there, the colors are bright and there was no bleeding or fading onto my sheets. I'm just shocked at the quality and how versatile the blanket is. I really wish I had bit the bullet and purchased it sooner.

Nice for cool summer nights.

I ordered one in a twin size for my daughter for summer camp in the woods of New Jersey, she is 11 and she loves it. It is wool so i thought it would be rough and itchy but it is pretty soft for wool and is just the right kind of warm for summer nights.

I purchased 2 of these originally. After I received them, I decided to purchase another one as a Christmas gift for a friend, as they are beautiful and warm! I am very happy with the quality.
