Customer Reviews for Extra Large Lighthouse Duffel Bag

Extra Large Lighthouse Duffel Bag

A U-shaped top zipper makes everything easy to see and reach. The front handles have a leather wrap, and the handle on end has a leather grip. And for even easier carrying, the pass-through section on the back lets the Duffel piggyback on the handle of rolling bags. Spot clean. Imported.

First plane trip, huge hole in the bottom

Because this bag is NOT reinforced, just thin canvas all over, it is NOT suitable for plane travels. The picture makes it look like it has a shape, which is VERY deceiving and it does NOT. After landing at my destination I was greeted by my brand new Land's End luggage, monogramed with my name, and a huge hole in the bag which left my clothing dirty. I had to tape the bottom for the return flight. I would not recommend this to anyone flying. Maybe for a car trip or camping. Also because this does not have wheels and can be packed very heavy it is hard to move.

Great Bag

This bag is more than expected. I bought it for my husband who uses at least three bags when he travels. Now he is able to fit all of his belonging into this bag. When you think this bag has reached its max, you find that you can still fit more.

Perfect to store airbed & bedding plus very sturdy & well-made!

Hubby & I frequently travel with queen-size airbed, sheets, quilt, pillows, towels. The Extra-Large Lighthouse Duffel Bag is PERFECT for holding the airbed plus all the linens -- with room to spare. Shoulder-strap is comfy & does NOT cut into one's shoulder when carrying all this. The bag construction is very sturdy & exceptionally well-made. It is NOT "firm" like most suitcases. It is a duffel bag & is has lots of "give," so it is easy for us to "squish" it into the back of our minivan when we travel & then "squish" it into a closet at home. At home, we just handover this one duffel bag to our in-home guests, and they can set themselves up in the living room -- our extra guestroom.

I bought this for a high-school graduate, grandson and had it monogrammed. It was a very big hit!!
I liked the navy with the dark straps b/c it will not show the dirt---especially the handles. The duffle,
in extra large would carry a baby grand piano!!! It is very sturdy and well made. I definitely
would recommend this product / a winner!

needs a definite bottom to it and more form--too flimsy

My parents bought this bag for my son who will be going to camp this summer. We thought the size might be a little too big but thought he could grow into it and it would hold everything he would need for a week. When he received it, I was very disappointed because it has no form to it. It does not have a hard bottom--very flimsy. The picture on the website shows it empty. i am not sure how they took that picture but there is NO way that bag can stand up on its own. It is very misleading. The quality of the material is good and it would have lasted a long time but this will be very difficult to pack with no shape to it. We will be returning it.
